Time for an update!
Hey there Quick Simple Fun Games fans! We have two games at the factory right now that we’re excited to share with you when they’re getting closer to their premiere, but in the meantime, we’d like to talk a little bit about a game we currently have in development.
A new game is in the works!
Right now we are working on a travel-related deck builder/set collection game that is coming together really nicely. No spoilers yet as to what area players will be traveling around in, but don’t worry, it’s going to be impressive!
Location, location, location
With a travel-themed game, the most important choice you have to make is where the players will be traveling to, and from there, what sites will the players be visiting within that major location. Our original list of sites for this game had 87 locations on it! I’m sure you can see that’s a crazy amount of places to visit, so we had to pare down the list. In this case, we had to make sure that we were keeping significant and popular sites, and not just our personal favorites.
Our goal with this game is to make players want to visit this location.
While we are including all of the popular tourist attractions (we will be sneaking in some of those previously-mentioned favorites, of course!), we also wanted to add in some “hidden gems” as a way to showcase just why this place is so amazing.
And as I said, our original list had almost 90 locations, and we’re down to about 40 now, so you can see that this place is just jam-packed with things to do.
Research is important
I have to admit, I’m even wanting to travel to this place now. I’m more of an outdoorsy person, so traveling to places with hiking, kayaking, and wildlife are the most appealing to me. But this location just has so many interesting places to see and things to do that I am hooked. Maybe I can talk someone into flying me out there for research…
